Founded in 1996, Brooktree Capital Management is owned and managed by Brian R. Ellis and Hunter E. Lewis, CFA.
Brian R. Ellis
President/Owner
Brian oversees capital allocation at Brooktree Capital Management. He has over 25 years of investment management experience and previously owned and operated a Midwestern food processing company. His “in the trenches” real world business experiences plus strong academic background combine to provide a unique skill set from which to make capital allocation and investment decisions. Brian has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame with a major in accountancy, and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Michigan with a concentration in Finance. Brian believes in public service and giving back to the community and has served as a volunteer in various community organizations.
Hunter E. Lewis, CFA
Vice President-Portfolio Manager/Owner
Hunter drives all investment research and portfolio management at Brooktree Capital Management, with a distinct focus on high quality businesses with enduring competitive advantages. This approach originated through the creation of a concentrated equity strategy for ultra-high net worth and family office clients. He is a graduate of Grand Valley State University and he has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Hunter has held numerous leadership positions within the CFA Society of West Michigan, where he recently served as President.
